Multi360Viewer: A Simpler Way to Present 360° Views

Present selected interactive 360° images without building a fully interconnected virtual tour.

Multi360Viewer is currently under active development. This page provides an early look at the project while features, demonstrations, and documentation continue to be added.

Multi360Viewer is a WordPress-based 360° photo gallery designed to make it easy to present individual panoramic images or collections of immersive 360° views online.

Sometimes a complete virtual tour is exactly what a property needs. Other times, a business, organization, property owner, or photographer may simply want visitors to experience selected spaces without creating a fully navigable representation of the entire location.

Multi360Viewer provides another option.

Show the Spaces You Want People to Experience

A traditional 360° virtual tour is designed to let visitors move through a property, often traveling from one panoramic scene to another and gaining a clear understanding of how the spaces connect.

That can be extremely effective—but it isn't necessary for every project.

Multi360Viewer allows selected 360° photographs to be displayed as interactive views without requiring them to be connected into a complete virtual walkthrough.

Visitors can still look around each panorama, zoom in and out, and experience the space immersively, while the property owner retains greater control over which areas are presented.

Why Multi360Viewer?

Multi360Viewer originally began as a simple way for Coastal 360 Virtual Tours to show prospective clients test 360° photographs online.

The idea was straightforward: upload several panoramic images, create a client-specific gallery, and provide an easy way for the client to experience those images interactively in a web browser.

As the concept developed, another use became apparent.

There are situations where people appreciate immersive 360° photography but do not necessarily want or need a complete virtual tour.

Multi360Viewer grew from that simple client-preview tool into a more flexible way of presenting collections of selected 360° views.

A Different Approach to a Full Virtual Tour

A full virtual tour can provide visitors with an excellent understanding of a property. Rooms and areas can be connected, allowing someone to virtually move throughout a building.

For many businesses and properties, that is exactly the goal.

For others, selected 360° views may be preferable.

A commercial property, organization, church, facility, or other property owner may want to showcase particular spaces without making the relationship between every room, hallway, entrance, and area immediately apparent.

Multi360Viewer does not make a published panorama private or inherently secure. A 360° image still shows everything visible from the position where it was photographed. However, displaying carefully selected scenes can provide a different level of disclosure than publishing a fully interconnected representation of an entire facility.

When Could a 360° Photo Gallery Make Sense?

Multi360Viewer may be useful when you want the immersive quality of 360° photography without necessarily creating a complete virtual walkthrough.

Simple for Visitors to Use

No special software is required to view a Multi360Viewer gallery.

Visitors simply open the page in a modern web browser and interact with the panoramic image.

Depending on how the gallery is configured, visitors can drag or swipe to look around, zoom in and out, view panoramas fullscreen, move among selected 360° images, use controls optimized separately for desktop and mobile devices, and view descriptive titles for individual panoramas.

The objective is to keep the experience straightforward: open the page, select a view, and look around.

Designed Around Multiple Galleries and Clients

Multi360Viewer was created with a multi-client workflow in mind.

Rather than configuring every gallery from scratch, separate collections of 360° images can be created for different properties, businesses, projects, or clients while being managed through the same WordPress installation.

That makes the concept useful not only for a business displaying its own 360° photographs, but potentially for photographers and virtual-tour providers managing presentations for multiple clients.

Flexible Presentation

The current Multi360Viewer development version provides a growing range of options for controlling how galleries are presented.

These include separate client galleries, configurable gallery layouts, text or graphic gallery headers, individual panorama titles, adjustable initial viewing positions, desktop and mobile viewing controls, fullscreen viewing, pagination, client-specific settings with global defaults, WordPress Media Library integration, and optional branding and footer credit.

The goal is to provide useful presentation flexibility without making the visitor experience unnecessarily complicated.

Built From a Real Virtual-Tour Workflow

Multi360Viewer was not originally conceived as a standalone software product.

It began as a practical tool developed by Coastal 360 Virtual Tours to make presenting 360° photographs to prospective clients easier.

As the tool evolved, it became apparent that the same approach could also provide businesses, property owners, organizations, photographers, and real-estate professionals with another way to use immersive 360° imagery.

That continues to guide its development: Multi360Viewer is intended to make displaying selected 360° views simple, flexible, and practical.

Need a Full Virtual Tour Instead?

Multi360Viewer is an alternative presentation option—not a replacement for every virtual tour.

When the objective is to allow visitors to move throughout a location and experience how the entire property fits together, a professionally produced interconnected virtual tour may still be the better choice.

Coastal 360 Virtual Tours can help determine which approach makes the most sense for a particular property or project.

Multi360Viewer Is Currently in Development

Multi360Viewer is actively being refined and tested. The information on this page reflects the current direction of the project, and additional demonstrations, features, and documentation will be added as development progresses.

The demonstrations that will appear here are intended to show the current working experience while the WordPress plugin continues to be tested and improved.

Public distribution of Multi360Viewer is planned after development and testing have reached the appropriate stage.
